When it comes to knives, I don't praise skinsharpness and durability very often, but it can definitely be found in this Ginsu Chikara Series 12-Piece Silver Knife Block Set. This set features five high-quality forged knives with toffee finish handles that are made of premium Japanese Stainless Steel.

The knives are forged from two pieces of stainless steel, then folded and forged into one from tip to tang. These knives are a bit on the heavy side, but they're proven to be durable. The entire set is also backed by a lifetime limited warranty.

The advantages of this set are that this popular Japanese knife set features premium Japanese steel that does not require a lot of care to keep it safe and kept over the long-term. These Japanese steel knives are forged from two pieces of steel and act as one single piece so that the knife is balanced in a proficient way, which also makes for an easy and comfortable hand and wrist.

The toffee finish also gives this series a luxurious touch. I enjoy this unique finish because it's an easy way to instantly make a fashion statement in a kitchen. I also like the balance of the whole set. I've used a Gourmet Chikara knife set for over 18 months now as a regular part of my kitchen, and I still love them.

Ginsu Gourmet Chikara knives are equally meant to be used for chopping, slicing and dicing. The set also contains a chef's knife and a serrated utility knife. The chef's knife is appropriate for slicing and dicing things like fruits and vegetables. The serrated utility knife can be utilized for serrated edges and general food prep on foods such as tomatoes, potatoes and tougher cuts of meats. It's also perfectly handy for slicing bread.
