This is a really comfortable recliner with a lot of versatility. It's a simple yet nice looking chair that can go with any sort of decor.
At its basic, the chair offers a seat depth of approximately 40 inches, a seat width of approximately 43 inches and a height of approximately 43 inches. The back is fully adjustable so you can recline the chair for you to 0 degrees and/or get into a more upright position.
The seat cushion is covered in a medium-density foam and is wrapped in a high-quality, soft polyester upholstery. The chair also offers puckered stitching in light brown, which adds to its aesthetic appeal. Engaging the recliner is a simple one-pull motion.
The frame on the chair is constructed of corner-glued wood with a medium-density foam cushion. Each of the joints on the frame is stapled and blocked to provide strength and prevent cracks.
The Evolution Rocker features a timeless design with a black twill upholstery and incorporates some notable details such as a puckered-stitched cushion, hidden nail head trim along the bottom of the seatback and shirred flange trim around the arms.
It has the rocker motion option that is completely manual. There is no electric mechanism or motor for the rocker motion, but after the seat is reclined, you can simply push it back up to return to an upright position.
The frame and the cushions are completely assembled from scratch. One assembly tip this chair does have to offer is that you'll need to remove the chair back from the seat cushion before reclining into the recliner position. This is why the chair back slides cannot be pushed into the seat cushion to make the chair recline.
If you are new to assembling wood furniture, or if this is your first time assembling a chair, you'll find the instructions on the chair to be straightforward and easy to follow. It does take a little time to assemble the chair because of its deep seat and the adjustable back, but if you take your time, it won't be too much of an ordeal.
