Pros:

  • Ideal for people who need a safety rail that goes on the side the user is on
  • Can be mounted on the side of the bed or against the wall
  • Durable, steel construction
  • Easy to set up
  • Made in the USA
  • Can be used in a twin, full, queen, or king bed
  • Non-slip feet that keep the rail in place
  • No assembly required
  • Bed Rail is 30 inches high
  • Can adjust from 41 inches long to 47 inches long

Cons:

  • Fits older beds. This may not work with some newer beds

The Stander Bed Rail is a must-have precautionary safety piece for anyone who is used to seeing their own bed as a source of stability. The level of functionality is impressive right out of the box.

The base of the safety rail will wrap around your bed and then lock into place via a dual safety strap. The rail is also reversible and can be installed on either side of your bed, so it is not restricted to being used only in one direction.

It is compatible with any bed size from twin to California king. The style of the rail is also very low-profile and it is designed in a leave-it-alone fashion.

One feature I keep coming back to when discussing this safety rail is the fact that it will support someone weighing up to 300 pounds. This is a very important feature to consider when looking for a bed rail because it is a catastrophic injury if someone falls out of bed while being supported by the rail.

This is, however, an added benefit I like to see given the safety strap model. There are other models that are very similar that have a hand grip safety strap. That is not the case here, but its a great compromise for safety and physical strain.

This is not a flat-out safety rail, it is more of a safety strap model, so it is not going to perfectly keep someone in place while they sleep. Also, it is better suited to people without a lot of health issues. It is also not going to be right for anyone who needs to still use their arm to get up in the night.

All in all, I think this is a very agreeable piece to use as a simple way to keep yourself attached to your bed in the night.
